'Newcastle need a third striker'

 







Jaybirds podcaster Andrew Musgrove addressed BBC Radio's Newcastle Joined Digital broadcast about the St James' Park club's January move window system, given their physical issue issues: "I don't believe Newcastle's exchange group like to go astray much from their unique plans. You saw it in the pursuit of Sven Botman. We didn't get him the initial time round however they stood firm and we appear to work from a specific rundown.


"I don't think they'll take a gander at the wounds and change what they will do. I think they'll have a set plan, and will adhere as near it as could be expected.


"I would check out at getting one more striker in January. With the wounds to Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson, perhaps you go out and find a striker who can equal the two of them at this moment. Might you at any point truly depend on the two of them to get past most of games? With where we need to be and where we need to go, you want a striker you can depend upon.


"I think Callum Wilson is a phenomenal goalscorer, however we're seeing that injury record make want more. He continues to get influenced by some injury, and Newcastle can't depend on him. Isak continues to get wounds also. Do we really want a third quality striker?


"Whoever comes in requirements to have a genuine chance to be best option"

The referee of England’s Euro 2024 semi-final is a convicted match fixer who was slated by Jude Bellingham after taking control a controversial Bundesliga match. Felix Zwayer, who will oversee Wednesday’s Three Lions’ fixture with the Netherlands, was banned for six months after being found to have accepted a €300 (£253.82) bribe from fellow referee Robert Hoyzer in a 2005 scandal.  And, after he oversaw Borussia Dortmund’s contentious 3-2 defeat to Bayern Munich in 2021 then Dortmund star Bellingham, who will play on Wednesday night, hit out at his appointment and was subsequently fined. ‘You can look at a lot of the decisions in the game,’ Bellingham said in a post-match TV interview.  ‘You give a referee, that has match-fixed before, the biggest game in Germany. Agents have accused clubs of double-standards over two of the biggest deals this summer, with pressure piled on players to move to a different club before the end of their contract. Conor Gallagher has agreed a move to Atletico Madrid in Spain after it was made clear he risked being left out of the first-team squad if he did not sign a new deal, with a year remaining on his existing terms. Manchester United’s Leny Yoro, meanwhile, moved from Lille after the French club’s president described the youngster as having an “exit voucher” this summer due being in the last year of his contract.
