First teenage scorers in FA Cup final since Ronaldo

Man Utd scored twice in first half

WHAT HAPPENED?

Garnacho opened the scoring at the half-hour mark before Mainoo doubled the team's lead in the 39th minute of the FA Cup final against City. In the process, the duo etched their names in the history books as for the first time in an FA Cup final, two teenagers found the back of the net.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Garnacho and Mainoo also became the first teenage players to score in an FA Cup final since Cristiano Ronaldo's strike against Millwall in 2004. Mainoo is also the first English teenager to find his name on the scoresheet in the all-important match since West Ham's John Sissons who scored in the 1964 FA Cup final against Preston North End.
