Chelsea submit offer to steal signing of £68m star from Man Utd.

Chelsea have
already submitted an offer to snap up Ronald Araujo, who is heavily linked with
Man Utd. The Blues have ‘transmitted an offer’ to the Uruguayan international
even though they have not finalized a new coach.
Last winter,
Thomas TuchelThomas Tuchel tried hard to sign the defender for Bayern Munich but the German
is now without a club and once again linked with Chelsea.
A few days back,
Sport reported that Tuchel has made it clear to Araujo that wherever he goes he
will ask for his incorporation as a top priority.
The Catalan source
revealed Man Utd would multiply the wages to hire the services of the South
American, who is valued at £68m (80 million euros).
As per Mundo
Deportivo, Chelsea want a high profile signing to replace club legend, Thiago
Silva, and have therefore submitted an offer for Araujo.
The Blaugrana
center half received a contract renewal offer from Barcelona back in February
but is yet to respond to the proposal.
Barca are pushing
to agree a new four year deal with the 25-year-old, who was a key part of the
squad that lifted the La Liga trophy last year.
Both Chelsea and
Man Utd cannot offer Champions League football to Ronald Araujo next season.
For now, the
Stamford Bridge outfit are in the driving seat to play Europa League football
but they will feature in the Conference League if the Red Devils beat
Manchester City in the FA Cup final.
